Dwarven-owned tavern in the town of Sulindal. Erring on the side of elegant for some budgets, the Sullen Ape Tavern offers a respectable selection of ales for more discerning patrons. The Dwarven owner, Dolgug, reviles the cheap ale brewing that has become common, and treats each brew of his as though it is wine. It can be expensive, but some say that Dolgug’s fine brews have restorative, even magical properties. The Sullen Ape is often quiet compared to other taverns in Sulindal, and tends to attract merchants and knights. Dolgug is said to have personally produced ales for the King’s youngest son.
Dolgug permitted Franzis a temporary brewers assistant position, in which time he did his best to improve upon their process, production, and quality to give them a competitive edge against their rival Elven tavern, The Devil’s Washboard.
