In The Footprints of Ancients
A small village on what is now the South Eastern edge of the Tidym Jungle. The village was previously home to a rather small minority of religious figures and elites from a local tribe, but has recently become larger and more crowded due to refugees from the nearby sister village of Capyd, which was lost in a forest fire. Zikert fluctuates around 100 residents, most of whom are refugees from Capyd, and is ruled by Chief Swama and his Shaman Zengi. The two are fanatical followers of their tribes sun worship, and bar their people from exiting the jungle as well as maintaining a strict curfew to prevent villagers from coming out of their homes during the day. The village is guarded by a small palisade wall, the thick jungle canopy, and a contingent of rather young guards, who are also fanatics. The outskirts of the village are home to several stone ‘towers’, remnants of whatever construction the Ancients previously had on this site, which are used to monitor the perimeter of the village. Many of the larger buildings in the village are of the same architecture, including the Chief’s residence, which contains a good deal of artifacts, including books and tapestries, as well as a fairly sizable tomb beneath.
